Mercedes is “currently in active legal exchange with the FIA” regarding the governing body’s controversial investigation into alleged conflict of interest, team boss Toto Wolff said in a statement Friday.
Wolff added in his statement, “We await full transparency about what took place and why, and have expressly reserved all legal rights.”
Susie Wolff, F1 Academy managing director and his wife, released a statement of her own Friday, writing that she has “received online abuse about my work and my family” and wants to uncover “who has instigated this campaign and misled the media.”
The FIA ended its probe on Thursday after confirming “appropriate protective measures are in place to mitigate any potential conflicts.”
