This week, basketball’s future stars will converge in Brooklyn for the McDonald’s All American Games.
As always, the event will feature the nation’s best boys and girls high school prospects. After two years in Houston, this year’s event will be played in the Big Apple at the Barclays Center, home of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets and the WNBA’s New York Liberty.
History has shown that there is no age minimum to possess star power, and this year’s class has plenty of it. On the boys’ side, No. 1 overall recruit AJ Dybantsa and No. 2 overall recruit Darryn Peterson will share the floor as teammates on the West team. The same applies to the girls’ West team, where No. 1 overall recruit Aaliyah Chavez will be teamed up with No. 2 overall recruit Sienna Betts.

Outside the top two recruits in each game, NBA fans may recognize a few names on each roster. Twins Cameron and Cayden Boozer are the sons of two-time NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer and will play for the East team. Like their father, the twins will head to Durham, N.C., to play at Duke. Alijah Arenas, son of three-time All-Star Gilbert Arenas, will suit up for the West boys’ team and play at USC in the fall.
