Mathieu Strauss of XULA named RRAC Player of the Week

As reported by the Xavier University of Louisiana website, Mathieu Strauss has been named RRAC Player of the Week. The award, announced Tuesday by the RRAC, is the first of Strauss’ career. Strauss was 3-0 in singles and 2-1 in doubles in the inaugural ITA NAIA National Indoor Championships at Overland Park, Kan.

Strauss played doubles with Julius Hell. XULA earned fifth place in the eight-team event, beating eighth-ranked Kansas Wesleyan and Lindsey Wilson following a 4-3 loss Friday to third-ranked Tennessee Wesleyan. Strauss won in doubles and singles against Tennessee Wesleyan.

We also recall that Valentina Largacha of Xavier University of Louisiana has been named RRAC Player of the Week.
