Marion Bartoli has made herself available to Caroline Garcia in case the top-ranked Frenchwoman wants to hire her as a new coach for the upcoming clay season. In late 2022, Garcia stunningly split with coach Bertrand Perret, who helped her rediscover her best tennis and become a top player again.
At the time, there were reports indicating that it wasn’t a happy split. Then last week – after Garcia suffered a surprise 6-2 6-3 defeat to Sorana Cirstea in her Miami opener – strength and conditioning coach Laure Legoupil announced that she decided to stop working with the Frenchwoman.

“I would happily train Caroline Garcia all the way to RolandâGarros. There is no problem. She had been playing so well since Roland-Garros last year when she won the doubles with Kristina Mladenovic.
She won a lot of matches. I told myself that everything was in place, finally. She was able to react to changes in the surface, to different conditions. She played well everywhere. Normally when a player has figured out what works, even changing coaches, she is able to repeat it with other people.
