Tennis icons Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams met during the Moncler Genius fashion show in London. Through her Instagram account, Sharapova revealed that she stumbled upon Williams during a fashion show in London. Sharapova was seemingly delighted about meeting her former rival as she captioned her post: “Reunited.”

Sharapova and Williams, who are both retired from pro tennis, also met during the 2021 Met Gala in New York.
Back then, Williams spoke very positively about meeting Sharapova. “She’s fun. We talked, we clicked, we laughed, we talked about tennis and it was really, really fun and I loved it!” Williams said after meeting Sharapova at the Met Gala in 2021.
Sharapova, Williams are now family orientated
Sharapova, who retired from pro tennis after the 2020 Australian Open, became a mother this past summer after welcoming a baby boy Theodore. On the other side, Williams – who has a five-year-old daughter Olympia – recently said that she is “working on giving Olympia a sibling.” Williams has pretty much accustomed herself to motherhood, while Sharapova is still learning every day about her new role.
