Sunderland are in the Championship play-offs, three matches away from a return to the Premier League, and a Manchester United player has had a huge hand in that: Amad Diallo. Will he stay at Sunderland if they get promoted and what happens if they don’t?
Carl Anka: I’ve been high on Amad since he arrived at Manchester United. And while he didn’t have the best loan spell at Rangers, the way Tony Mowbray is using him at Sunderland has really shown that he’s adapted to English football. Sunderland fans have absolutely fallen in love with him.
He will often be the player that can have the decisive moment and, if you look at this United team, they are still much of a muchness on the right-hand side. Could Amad be Erik ten Hag’s solution to that…
