The Premier League fixture between Manchester City and Bournemouth has been moved to Tuesday, May 20 due to City’s participation in the FA Cup final three days prior.
Fellow FA Cup finalists Crystal Palace, meanwhile, will face Wolverhampton Wanderers on the same evening. The two matches were originally slated for Sunday, May 18, but had to be moved with the FA Cup final set to take place at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, May 17.
The implications for City mean they will know the results of their Champions League rivals’ penultimate matches of the campaign before they kick off against Bournemouth. Pep Guardiola’s side are currently fourth in the Premier League table, just one point ahead of sixth-placed Nottingham Forest and a single point behind third-placed Newcastle.
Chelsea, who currently occupy the final Champions League spot, face Manchester United on Friday, May 16. The fixture was rearranged in April due to being selected for television broadcast, while also avoiding a clash with the Women’s FA Cup final. Forest, meanwhile, face West Ham on the Sunday, while Newcastle meet Arsenal later that day.
