Manchester City not planning to take action against Kyle Walker over video

Manchester City are not planning to punish Kyle Walker over a video of the defender that appeared on a national newspaper website on Tuesday.

The Sun carried CCTV footage where Walker appeared to be in a drunken state and is seen exposing himself and kissing a woman in a bar in Manchester on Sunday.

City, however, are not intending to hand the England international a fine or suspend him based on what they have seen.

The 32-year-old did not break any club rules by going out on his day off. Pep Guardiola gave his players two days off after their win against Newcastle on Saturday.

Walker’s representatives did not provide a comment when contacted by The Athletic.

Cheshire Police said: “On Wednesday 8 March, Cheshire Police were made aware of a video circulating on social media in relation to an indecent exposure which allegedly occurred in the Wilmslow area.

“Enquiries in relation to the incident are in the early stages and no arrests have been made at this time.”

If a person intentionally exposes their genitals and intends that someone will see them and be caused alarm or distress, they would commit indecent exposure under the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
