If being named the all-time Perfect 10 leader in school history isn’t enough, LSU’s Haleigh Bryant checked off another astounding accomplishment on Friday when she became the 14th collegiate women’s gymnast to record a gym slam.
In the meet against Georgia, Bryant gave her best in the final event of the night — the balance beam. As Bryant stuck the landing, she stood there beaming with a smile, patiently waiting to hear her score from the judges.
Bryant received a perfect 10, her 13th career perfect 10. She moved into a tie with Utah’s Malie O’Keefe, becoming the 14th collegiate women’s gymnast to earn a gym slam. According to College Gym News, a gym slam is when a gymnast records a perfect 10 in every event at least once during a career. Last season, only Jade Carey and Trinity Thomas accomplished this challenge.
Haleigh. Bryant. 🐐
The senior just scored her first career perfect 10 on beam and is now perfect on every event.
