The LSU women’s basketball team is going to look a little different this year as Angel Reese supports from the stands rather than the court. But the Tigers should still be feared.
The 2023 National Champions are back in a stacked SEC. While their goal is undoubtedly to get back to that title game, the Tigers must first fight for the conference crown, something they haven’t done since 2008. But it’s not out of reach with the revamped SEC.
Stars Annesah Morrow and Flau’jae Johnson return as LSU’s leading scorers from last year. And they’ll be tasked with just that, leading on and off the court as the Tigers adjust to their new era. At the very least, if the past few seasons are worth anything, it shows that the purple and gold will be a fun squad well worth watching. Kim Mulkey is no exception, either.
