LSU Tigers women’s basketball legend Angel Reese isn’t the Magic to Caitlyn Clark’s Bird

After watching the Chicago Sky and the Indiana Fever play Saturday afternoon, more and more I see the WNBA trying to force this narrative that the NBA once had when they had Magic Johnson and Larry Bird headlining their sport.

Many people put Reese as Johnson and Clark as Bird when it’s more Hatefield and McCoy than two legends in the sport facing off. The two seem very fitting for each other, but other people are starting to see a real hatred come out of one side.

Robert Griffin III had this to say about the situation regarding the two WNBA stars.

“After watching Caitlin Clark’s flagrant foul on Angel Reese and the aftermath, there is no way Angel Reese can continue the lie that she doesn’t dislike Caitlin Clark. I know what hatred looks like. Angel Reese HATES Caitlin Clark. Not some basketball rivalry hate either. Hate,” Griffin said.

Hate is exactly what it is between them, as it spilled over into the game yesterday when Caitlyn Clark initially gave Angel a hard foul after receiving a wide-open look at the rim.

Even announcer Ryan Ruocco said the foul should have been upgraded to a flagrant one for the push on Reese. Angel also received her own flagrant one foul, which offset, but it was the stare that the two had…
