Less than two years after crossing paths with Arthur Borges in New York’s Central Park, Garbine Muguruza said ‘yes’ to the love of her life in a romantic setting of a hotel in Marbella, Spain.

While she was in New York for the 2021 US Open, she went for a casual walk in Central Park. That’s when Borges spotted her, wished her good luck at the tournament, and love sparks started flying immediately. The encounter ignited a profound connection and from that moment on they enjoyed romantic walks together in Central Park every day.
The couple made their relationship public during the 2021 Akron WTA Finals Guadalajara, when Borges was hugging and kissing champion Muguruza during the trophy ceremony. Earlier, he had also been spotted in the WTA star’s box during the September 27th – October 3rd Chicago Fall Tennis Classic.
