This Sunday, the 39th version of the Los Angeles Marathon will take place, starting at Dodger Stadium and finishing at Santa Monica Blvd. at Avenue of the Stars.Â
The women’s pro race will begin at 6:40 a.m. PT, while the men’s race will commence 20 minutes after at 7 a.m. PT. The weather is supposed to be phenomenal this weekend, making way for strong times.Â
Last year, Eithiopia’s Jemal Yimer won the men’s side of the race, finishing with a time of 2:13:15. He was the first winner not named John Korir, who won in 2022 and 2021, since 2020.Â
For the women, Kenya’s Stacy Ndiwa won the race with a time of 2:31:02. A Kenyan woman has won three of the last four Los Angeles marathons.Â
