Hello, friends and gymnastics fans! Welcome to the first session of the newly renamed Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics National Invitational Championship, formerly known as the USA Gymnastics Women’s Collegiate National Championship.
This year’s session features Bridgeport, SEMO, Southern Connecticut, and newcomer Greenville. The Panthers are making their debut as a full team at a national championship—a milestone for the program. Greenville previously sent two representatives to the NCGA national meet, where Ashlie Leage earned first-team All-America honors on bars.
Bridgeport enters with a season-high score of 194.000, set on senior night, and carried that momentum into the GEC championship. Senior Abigail Kenney has been a consistent all-arounder and could be in podium contention if she hits, with the potential to break the 39.000 mark.
Southeast Missouri State comes in hot off a season-high 194.725 at the conference meet. Keep an eye on MIC all-around champion and NCAA regional qualifier Taylor Ingle, who has been a standout all season.
