Welcome back to college gymnastics! It’s week one of the 2025 season with an exciting dual meet featuring Western Michigan vs. No. 11 Michigan State.
Last year was great for the Spartans, who won their first Big Ten championship title and made it to the regional final. MSU also topped the 2025 Big Ten Preseason Coaches’ Poll for the first time with senior Skyla Schulte and junior Nikki Smith named as gymnasts to watch.
WMU is also coming off of a great 2024 season and enters 2025 as the defending MAC champion. It was its first championship win since 2013. Returning from the winning team, and someone to keep an eye on, is MAC co-champion on floor, Cassie St. Clair.
Michigan State is hosting today’s meet in East Lansing. Let’s head to Jenison Field House and get started!
