With some incredible walk-offs at the Women’s College World Series, and some thrilling regional tournaments in Little League, excitement about and popularity of softball is at an all-time high.
Now the next generation of budding softball stars will head to Greenville, North Carolina, for the Little League Softball World Series tournament.
The 2024 LLSWS once again features 12 teams that will compete to become champions. The field includes eight clubs from the U.S. and four international sides for the second year in a row.
The tournament is also celebrating 50 years, and will even bring back the LLSWS champions from 1974 — Wellsboro Little League (Tampa, Florida) — to celebrate and honor them ahead of the championship game on Aug. 11.
There’s a lot of cause for excitement and anticipation, and a new champion will be crowned this year.
