NCAA to Consider Landmark Scholarship Changes
Following a meeting of college athletics power conferences’ leadership, Yahoo reported that the manner in which scholarships can be allotted amongst teams will change. As a result of the recent settlement of several antitrust lawsuits against the NCAA and the resulting revenue-sharing model, schools will now be able to count as much as $2.5 million of additional scholarships toward their annual revenue sharing cap, which is expected to begin at or around $21.5 million.
