Each player on the Las Vegas Aces will make some extra cash this year — and no, it’s not bonuses for winning the 2023 WNBA championship.

The city of Las Vegas has decided to sponsor each of the Aces’ players for the 2024 season. This includes two-time MVP A’ja Wilson, Kelsey Plum, and rookies Dyaisha Fair and Kate Martin

Leaders of the city of Las Vegas announced the deal in the Aces locker room on Friday, May 17.

The Las Vegas Aces are getting a unique sponsorship for the 2024 season.

Typically these deals come from consumer product companies such as Nike or State Farm. And those deals are often straightforward — appear in a commercial, wear sponsored clothing, drink sponsored drinks or just flaunt the product in some way, shape or form.

That’s not the case here, and it partially has to do with it technically being a sponsorship and not an endorsement.
