Las Vegas Aces remain undefeated to break franchise record

The Las Vegas Aces defeated the Atlanta Dream, 92-87, on Friday night to continue their unbeaten streak.

The perfect 5-0 record marks the best start ever for the franchise. Las Vegas also topped 90 points for a fifth straight game, extending their own WNBA record.

Despite the win — and the history accompanying it — A’ja Wilson and Jackie Young had plenty of critiques for their team post-game.

“Yes, we’re grinding out wins. But we’re putting ourselves in situations that I think we don’t need to,” Wilson said, referring to the Dream’s strong 15-4 run in the fourth quarter.

“We have to get stops. We allowed them to score way too many points in the third and fourth quarter,” echoed Young.

Wilson knows the Aces have a target on their back, both thanks to their 2022 WNBA title and the team’s stacked roster.
