Kim Mulkey has passionate message after LSU’s Sweet 16 win

Always willing to let her opinion be known, Kim Mulkey was quick to laud Aneesah Morrow after the forward dropped 30 points and added 19 rebounds in the Tigers’ Sweet 16 win.

“She’s an undersized post player in there battling bigger girls, demanding the ball, guarding on the perimeter,” Mulkey said. We only hit three threes tonight. So for you WNBA scouts, I think she lit it up from out there. I think they forget she can shoot the three-ball because that’s all she did at Depaul. For us, it’s not needed.” 

“She just works!” Mulkey said. “So when she hit those two threes I thought ‘OK Nees has it on tonight, she’s just one that you want on your team. She’s just one of those kids that she plays that hard in practice every day. Sometimes you put her on the side because it’s like Nees, these are one of those days you can take  a little deep breath.”
