Katie Taylor has fought and beaten some of the best boxing has to offer. The same could be said for Chantelle Cameron, who puts her status as undisputed super lightweight champion on the line against Taylor on May 20.
Taylor fights in Dublin for the first time in her home career. The fight, inside the 3Arena, airs on DAZN. The 3Arena can hold 8,000+ fight fans.
The undisputed lightweight champion, Taylor turned pro in 2016 and made an immediate impact when she beat Anahi Ester Sanchez in 2017 for the WBA lightweight title. Inside York Hall, which can hold 1,200 people, she edged Jessica McCaskill, starting a run of 14 successful title defenses. From headlining Madison Square Garden to the 3Arena, Taylor can make history by becoming a two-division undisputed champion.
“A few years ago, we were worried about whether we were going to sell out York Hall,” Taylor told AP News, “and now we’re talking about the 3Arena being too small.”
