Judge’s Inquiry: Beam Basics – College Gym News

This article is a continuation of our introduction to college gymnastics skills with this next segment dedicated to beam.

Beam can be a great event to start learning as a new gymnastics fan. The skills are slower, simpler, and happen in a straight line, making it a bit easier to follow. In this video below, I go over examples of all of the requirements for a beam routine, as well as the composition deductions and tricks for evaluating connections on beam.
