Rumors have been rampant for months that Jonathan Anderson is to depart Loewe as creative director. Those rumors have become a reality following today’s not-so-unexpected announcement. Speculation remains rife within the industry that Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez are set to become Loewe creative directors – and Jonathan is heading to Christian Dior. The Northern Irish fashion designer became the creative force behind Loewe in 2013. Since that time, Anderson has successfully transformed Loewe from a small Spanish leather goods label into a global luxury brand steeped in contemporary culture. For his final Fall 2025 collection, Anderson shunned a physical runway show and opted for a presentation during Paris Fashion Week. “Thank you to all those who supported me and my vision and to all the people who made every show possible,” read Anderson’s farewell statement.
