Morgan Stickney took home gold Tuesday in the women’s 400-meter freestyle S8 final at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
Stickney touched first in a time of 4:43.29, securing the first Paralympic medal of her career.
Jessica Long took silver in a time of 4:43.41, securing her 26th overall Paralympic medal.
With the medal, Long has successfully medaled in the event in all five of her Paralympic Games to date.
The 29-year-old is the second-most decorated U.S. Paralympian behind Trischa Zorn-Hudson, the most decorated Paralympian of all time with 55 medals.
