Jennifer Brady details why she’d love to have played against ‘prime Serena Williams’

Jennifer Brady, 28, declared Serena Williams the greatest of all-time in women’s tennis and admitted she would love to have played against prime Serena. Brady, the 2021 Australian Open runner-up, never got a chance to play against former 23-time Grand Slam champion Williams.

Through Redditt in a Q&A session hosted by the US Open, a fan asked Brady: “If you could pick one retired player to play against in their prime, who would it be and why?” Brady responded: “Serena Williams because she was so dominant and I want to know what that level was like to play against.”

After revealing she would love to play prime Williams, Brady also named the American tennis icon and Novak Djokovic as the tennis GOATs. “Who is the GOAT and why in your opinion? Both for men’s and women’s side,” a fan asked Brady.

Brady answered: “Serena and Novak.” After being out for two years due to knee surgery, Brady returned to pro tennis last month.
