The hip injury slowed his rise in clay swing, but the first three rounds he won at Roland Garros without giving up a set were very encouraging. There are 31 victories in the first 33 games played this season by the young Italian. And this is an incredible milestone, considering that he reached this milestone even before he turned 23.
Only three tennis players have achieved this feat like him: Jimmy Connors (1974), Ivan Lendl (1982), Pete Sampras (1994).
