Jack Sock hints at tennis comeback involving Nick Kyrgios

Date:

Jack Sock hinted that he might be interested in coming out of retirement to play some doubles with Nick Kyrgios, who is set to come back to tennis after basically missing the entire last two seasons due to knee and wrist surgeries.

The American, who is a former top-10 player in singles and also a four-time Grand Slam champion in doubles, retired by playing doubles at the 2023 US Open. However, the 32-year-old is still in pro sports after transitioning to pickleball.

Recently, the former world No. 8 and a couple of other former American tennis stars – John Isner, Steve Johnson and Sam Querrey – launched a podcast.

On the latest episode, James Blake – another ex-American tennis star – joined for a conversation. For the past couple of years, Blake has served as the Miami Open tournament director and the 2017 Paris Masters champion had a question for him.

“I have a competing player question. Nick Kyrgios and myself might be asking for a wildcard into doubles of your event here in a few months,” Sock asked the 2006 ATP Finals champion on the Nothing Major podcast.
