Holger Rune released interesting words on the eve of the Indian Wells 2nd round match that he was supposed to play in Indian Wells against Milos Raonic. The Canadian tennis player withdrew shortly before the match: this allowed the young Dane to automatically qualify for the 3rd round, where he will face Lorenzo Musetti.

And I believe that the BNP Paribas Open is a good opportunity for Rune to leave behind a period of crisis in which he changed many coaches in just a few weeks, firing Severin Luthi, seeing his mother and Boris Becker step aside and returning to train with Patrick Mouratoglou.

“It’s fantastic to be here, it’s the first ATP tournament I’ve participated in for the fourth time, it’s a special feeling to be here again. In the past they offered me a wild card and I was happy to participate, being here, in this magnificent place, is fantastic and trying to play the best tennis possible. I think the start of the season went well, in the next tournaments I want to do better than in this pair of semi-finals.
