“It will be very hard to get back on its feet”

Sergiy Stakhovsky enlisted two years ago as a reservist in his country’s army. And in an interview with the BBC he now declares that it will be very difficult for his country to get back on its feet. Stakhovsky, in the same interview for BBC, also explained what he thinks about the presence of Russian and Belarusian athletes at the Paris Olympics in 2024.

Stakhovsky criticized the IOC’s decision for this decision, despite the fact that the athletes would be present even if under a neutral flag. The former Ukrainian tennis player also praised the behavior of the Russian tennis player Daria Kasatkina.

After calling the decision taken by the IOC a joke, Stakhovsky said he was sure that if all athletes and people in Russia who are against this conflict took a stand as Kasatkina did, the picture would be completely different.
