The Hawkeyes’ and Cardinals’ respective stars were connected earlier in their lives through USA basketball. Now, they’ll be connecting again on the NCAA’s big stage.

Iowa’s Caitlin Clark, the National Player of the Year front-runner, averages 26.9 points per game, and she scored 31 in the Hawkeyes’ Sweet 16 victory over Colorado. Louisville’s Hailey Van Lith averages 19.5 points per game; she scored 21 in the Cardinals’ Sweet 16 victory over Ole Miss.
