For the first time, ESPN will air “College GameDay” live from Iowa City for a basketball game — a contest that could decide the Big Ten women’s basketball title.
No. 7 Iowa (21-5, 13-2) will host No. 2 Indiana (24-1, 14-1) in the league’s regular-season finale on Feb. 26 from Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
The game will highlight not only a meaningful showdown but also signify the growing popularity of women’s basketball and Iowa’s part in that. The game already was announced as a sellout at the 14,535-seat venue. Iowa’s regular-season average of 10,705 will break the conference women’s basketball record during that game. Wisconsin currently holds the mark of 10,455 from the 1997-98 season.

Indiana beat Iowa 87-78 last week in Bloomington in the highest-televised game in Big Ten Network history.
It is the third regular-season sellout in Iowa women’s basketball history, including the regular-season finale in 2022 when the Hawkeyes beat Michigan to share the Big Ten regular-season title. Iowa then sold out its two ensuing NCAA Tournament home games.
