Iowa Hawkeyes basketball legend Caitlin Clark shares combative message with Rhyne Howard during Fever-Dream

The WNBA hasn’t even been back a week, but the league has had to navigate a myriad of polarizing buzz around its top player. Caitlin Clark is unquestionably the top woman athlete in America—a once-in-a-generation shooter with dazzling passing who has lived up to the moniker of being the “female Stephen Curry.”

With her meteoric rise comes relentless security.

Clark recently committed a hard foul on her “rival,” Angel Reese, that was micro-analyzed for days, creating endless discourse around race roles and hierarchy in the league. The Iowa product seems to have made another foe in All-Star Rhyne Howard on Thursday night.

During the first quarter of the Fever-Dream game, Howard bumped Clark after Clark crossed mid-court. Clark then retaliated by pushing the 25-year-old Howard off of her.

Howard started jawing at Clark before the two were separated by teammates. Clark then looked at Howard and said, “I’m not scared of you.”

Before halftime, Howard hit a few tough shots and started talking trash to the entire Fever squad before heading into the tunnel.
