Serena Williams may have just teased a comeback with a social media post as the American tennis icon says she is “ready to hit some balls again.”
Williams, who will be turning 43 in September, has been retired for a year and a half now after previously ending her astonishing career at the 2022 US Open.
Since concluding her pro tennis career, the former 23-time Grand Slam champion has admitted several times that she has thought about returning to pro tennis. But so far, Williams has stayed retired.
But today, Williams shared a post on X that left tennis fans wondering if the American is hinting at a return.

Williams just recently admitted she was missing tennis
After retiring from tennis, Williams announced on May 1st, 2023, she was expecting her second child. In August, Williams became a mother for the second time when a baby girl named Adira River Ohanian was born.
