Iga made a name for herself in 2016, winning the first professional tournament she played! The Pole added two more trophies to her tally in 2017 and found herself after four titles in 20018, standing as the second-youngest player in that group after Amanda Anisimova.
Swiatek experienced a bagel in the first round of the $60,000 event in Budapest before raising her level. Iga showed rock-solid tennis in the following ten sets, dropping 17 games and lifting the biggest title of her young career.
A week later, Swiatek entered another $60,000 event in Montreux and continued where she left off in Budapest. The young gun played ten fantastic sets to topple five rivals and secure her second title in as many weeks.
