Iga Swiatek is set to start her season at the United Cup for the second consecutive year. This week, nations announced their lineups for the second edition of the United Cup, which will be taking place between December 29 – January 07.

When the participants were announced, it was revealed that four-time Grand Slam champion Swiatek would represent Poland. Earlier this year, 22-year-old Swiatek represented Poland at the inaugural United Cup. Poland, which was led by Swiatek and Hubert Hurkacz, made the United Cup semifinal before losing to the United States.

At this year’s United Cup, Swiatek went 3-1 in singles and also had a 2-0 record with Hurkacz in mixed doubles.

Swiatek set to lead Poland again at the United Cup

With Swiatek and recent Shanghai Masters champion Hurkacz signed up, Poland will undoubtedly be among the top favorites for the 2024 United Cup title.

However, there will also be other strong teams. “The United Cup holds a unique position in global tennis, with the world’s best men and women representing their country at the highest level. For 2024 we are delighted to welcome teams with both massive star power and great depth.
