Iga Swiatek’s racket used during the French Open final has been auctioned off for around $63k and all of the funds will go to charity. Swiatek, 22, won her third French Open title this year after beating Karolina Muchova in the final.
In Poland, motorsport icons organized an auction and their goal was to collect funds for charities fighting to raise awareness of road accidents involving children. According to the data, there were 1794 road accidents involving children in Poland last year and sadly 54 of them tragically lost their lives.
The auction organized collected around $530k.
Swiatek has a history of supporting charities
For three consecutive years, Swiatek has been making donations to support mental health organizations. Swiatek, who has improved her mental health by working with psychologist Daria Abramowicz, knows extremely well how important it is to have help available when battling something.
