Iga Swiatek reveals she is spending a bit more time on social media during the offseason but admits she prefers to use her phone less during the season because there is a lot of hatred and negativity on the internet. Swiatek, 22, is a four-time Grand Slam champion and the top-ranked player in the world.
Still, Swiatek is no stranger to receiving criticism on social media or seeing her name being mentioned in a negative context. Although Swiatek had another successful season in 2023 and won a tour-high six titles, some were still arguing that the Pole’s season wasn’t that great since she won just one Grand Slam this season.
Now, Swiatek admits she would rather stay away from social media than risk reading negative comments that could potentially negatively impact her.
