Iga Swiatek reveals what she thinks about her rivalry with Coco Gauff

In the Chetumal group of the WTA Finals 2023 being held in Cancun, Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek beat US Open champion Coco Gauff and she will still have the chance to end the year in first place in the WTA ranking. Swiatek won with a score of 6-0 7-5 in an hour and a half of match.

In the first set she won 12 of the 16 return points and in the second set she found herself down a break at 5-4 before winning 12 of the last 14 points of the set to win the match.

At the end of the match, Iga gave the usual interview dealing with various topics on the agenda.

“I would say that this evening I played with a lot of confidence, I think I was able to respond to Coco’s game at all times, especially doing it at the right time of the match. We have created a good rivalry in recent years, so I’m sure we will face each other many more times in the coming seasons.” The topic of the busy schedule and the health of the tennis players has been the subject of several statements within the WTA and even Swiatek did not hold back, stating: “Obviously, I’ve competed on the professional circuit for four seasons, but this is the…
