Iga Swiatek acknowledged playing against Aryna Sabalenka is “never easy” but believes that she can find a winning formula against the world No 1 in Cancun. On Saturday, Swiatek and Sabalenka will be facing off in the semifinal at the WTA Finals.
Going into their Cancun match, Swiatek owns a 5-3 head-to-head against Sabalenka. But in each of the last two years, Sabalenka defeated Swiatek at the WTA Finals. After beating Swiatek 2-6 6-2 7-5 in the 2021 WTA Finals, Sabalenka also beat the Pole 6-2 2-6 6-1 in the semifinal of the 2022 WTA Finals.

“I’ll see what the conditions are gonna be like. Against Aryna, it’s never easy. I’m just gonna do my best and focus on myself and what I wanna do on court. We usually have these matches that are exciting and really tough, both mentally and physically.
