Iga Swiatek made a bit of history on Monday as she is the 10th WTA player to hold the world No 1 ranking for 80 weeks. Swiatek, 22, reached the world No 1 ranking for the first time on April 4th, 2022. In her stint as the world No 1, Swiatek spent 75 consecutive weeks at the top spot.

Previously, when Swiatek entered her 72nd week at the world No 1 spot, she surpassed Caroline Wozniacki at the 10th spot for the most weeks spent at the top spot.
