Iga Swiatek has joined Naomi Osaka and Monica Seles on an exclusive list as the Pole is the third female in the Open Era to go 4/4 in her first four Grand Slam finals, per OptaAce. On Saturday, top-seeded Swiatek defeated Karolina Muchova 6-2 5-7 6-4 in the French Open final to secure her fourth Grand Slam title just 10 days after turning 22.
Seles won her first six Grand Slam finals before finishing her career with a 9-4 record in her Slam finals. A few years ago, Osaka became the first player after Seles to win her first four Grand Slam finals. Osaka, 25, hasn’t played in any Grand Slam finals since landing her fourth Grand Slam title at the 2021 Australian Open.
On the other side, Swiatek won the French Open finals in 2020, 2022 and 2023. Also, Swiatek defeated Ons Jabeur in the 2022 US Open final.
