Daniil Medvedev, after the defeat suffered in the final of the ATP 500 tournament in Beijing against Jannik Sinner, claimed the good things done in 2023. The Russian won five titles this season, also winning the Miami Open and the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, and played the semi-final and final at Wimbledon and the US Open respectively.

First Carlos Alcaraz and then Novak Djokovic stopped him on the way to the second Major.

Medvedev explained: “It was a great season. Obviously I would have liked to win a Slam. But if we don’t talk about Majors, even though I had an excellent run at Wimbledon and the US Open and lost against great opponents, it remains one of the best seasons.

I’ve won a lot of tournaments, some incredible matches, and I’ve been consistent. It’s not over yet: I want to try to finish the season well, starting with the Masters 1000 in Shanghai.”

Medvedev: “Mine remains a great season”
