While recovering from injury sustained early in the 2023 season, seven-time Grand Slam champion Venus Williams is walking us through her morning routine, showing us the way she wakes up and nourishes her body at the start the day.
Every morning begins with intense hydration with lemon water, the 42-year-old Williams reveals in her latest Instagram post. The five-time Wimbledon champion claims that “it leads to better energy though the day, better performance and training, plus a boosted immune system and reduced inflammation over time.”
Since being diagnosed with Sjögren’s syndrome in 2011, in order to manage the autoimmune disease, Williams has adopted a vegan diet. Besides eliminating animal products and avoiding processed foods, the tennis star takes a lot of supplements to keep herself energized.
Every morning she takes vitamin C, vitamin D, magnesium, probiotics, and digestive enzymes.
Supplementation is a must, and I take a lot! I found that supplements like magnesium boost my ability to perform, get better rest, stay hydrated, have more energy and also reduces the chances of cramping or muscle twitching which is so important for me.
When it comes to fruits, a banana is an integral part of Williams’ start to a productive day.
We still don’t know when Williams plans…
