Founded by snowboarding legend Shaun White, The Snow League is kicking off a new era of winter sports competition in Aspen this week.
White’s latest venture, The Snow League will host its inaugural event at Buttermilk Mountain starting Friday, which will feature several men’s and women’s snowboard halfpipe events. The league will offer the highest prize purse ever in snowboarding: $1.5 million.
Season One of The Snow League will feature athletes aged 16-36 and hailing from all over the world. Australia, Germany, Japan, Spain and Switzerland are just a glimpse into the international representation coming to Aspen Snowmass. Look out for Olympic names like Ayumu Hirano (Japan), Liu Jiayu (China), Chase Josey, Lucas Foster and more.
