Mikaela Shiffrin is just one win away from becoming the first Alpine Skiier and second athlete to compete in a Winter Olympic discipline to win 100 individual World Cups.
And the 29-year-old has a chance of reaching the historic landmark on home turf, when she competes at the FIS Alpine World Cup in Killington, Vermont this weekend.
Shiffrin has been in good form this season, picking up back-to-back wins at the World Cups in Levi, Finland and Gurgl, Austria.
She will be confident of her chances when she hits the slopes in Killington, having won six of her 99 World Cups at the Superstar piste.
A victory this weekend will see Shiffrin become only the second Winter Olympic athlete to win a 100 individual World Cups after Norway’s eight-time Olympic gold medallist Marit Bjoergen, who competed in the cross-country event.
The race in Killington is the fourth event in the women’s calendar this season. Here’s everything you need to know to watch.
