A classic midwest clash is heading to Sioux Falls, S.D. On Wednesday night, Iowa and Kansas will face off for the first time since 2009.
Both squads are sitting at 4-0 after cruising through the first two weeks of the 2024-25 season. The Hawkeyes defeated Drake on Sunday afternoon, while Kansas handled its business against North Alabama.
Iowa is trying to keep its foot on the gas, proving itself in its first year without Caitlin Clark. Senior Addison O’Grady has also stepped up, making a major jump in the scoring department (16.8 points per game) after playing limited minutes last season.
Sophomore S’Mya Nichols is the go-to offensive weapon for the Jayhawks, posting 18.0 points on 51.2 percent shooting from the field. Brittany Harshaw is the only other double-digit scorer on the roster (11.5 points per game).
