Iga Swiatek continued her dominant run at Indian Wells as she marched into the quarterfinals with a 6-1, 6-1 win over No 15 seed Karolina Muchova.
Chasing her third title in the Californian desert, Swiatek has dropped only six games in her first three matches. She has a 16-1 record in the last three years, including title runs in 2022 and 2024.
Swiatek will next face China’s Qinwen Zheng, who handed the Pole a heartbreaking defeat in the semifinal of last year’s Paris Olympics.
Also making the Indian Wells quarterfinals are top seed Aryna Sabalenka, Madison Keys, who is playing her first tournament since winning the Australian Open in January, and teen sensation Mirra Andreeva.
