Considered one of Shakespeare’s greatest works, “Othello” has stood the test of time. It has now been reborn as one of the hottest plays on Broadway.

“Othello” is a classic tale featuring themes of race, jealousy, and more. At the center of it all is Iago, clouded by jealousy, ready and willing to do whatever it takes to plot revenge against Othello, the Moor of Venice. That includes convincing him his wife, Desdemona, has been unfaithful.
There will be a twist for this revival: the production will be set in the “near future,” with Burruss making it clear it is still a Shakespearean piece set to modern times.
