Caitlin Clark is starting to settle into her role as a WNBA star rookie.
The No. 1 overall pick is coming off the best game of her young career Tuesday against the Sparks. Clark registered her first 30-point game, adding six assists, five rebounds, three steals and three blocks to her totals.
The effort came in an 88-82 loss for the Fever, and the 22-year-old guard still can’t shake the turnover bug. Clark added seven giveaways to her league-leading 44 turnovers — 14 more than the next-closest player, Skylar Diggins-Smith (30).
Diggins-Smith, a new addition to the Seattle lineup, will look to force Clark into more mistakes Thursday when Indiana faces off against the Storm.
The Fever (1-7) sit in second-to-last place in the Eastern Conference, above only the winless Mystics. The Storm (4-3) have bounced back from a 1-3 start, winning three games in a row heading into Thursday’s contest.
Will Clark build off her career-high scoring night or will Seattle keep rolling? The Sporting News has you covered with live updates, stats and highlights from the game below.
