Twenty days of rodeo? Everything really is bigger in Texas.
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo returns in March 2025 to put on one of the biggest events of the year. The competition spans over five rounds throughout three weeks. As a result, over two million people flock to NRG Stadium to see the competition and more.
In a tournament-style competition, riders will showcase their talents in bareback riding, bull riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, team roping and women’s barrel racing and breakaway roping. It’s a PRCA NFR event, meaning a winner’s earnings count towards their ranking and qualification for the the National Finals Rodeo at the end of the year.
But it’s not all about the rodeo itself. The event includes parades, a 10k, a barbeque contest, concerts and more.
